1. What is your Martial Arts Background?
I’ve been Boxing since age 7, Wrestling since 13, so over 30 years. Judo and Filipino Martial Arts for almost 20 years.
2. Why did you start CMMA in Granite City?
To be honest, the Highway 40 project. The drive to the Clayton CMMA went from a 15 minute drive to over an hour.
3. What’s ahead for your gym in 2010?
Hold our 80 plus win percentage. Turn 4-5 more of our fighters Pro. Put 2 fighters in StrikeForce.
4. Besides MMA, are you crazy for any other sports?
Football. Go Raiders!
5. When you’re not teaching ass kicking, what is your day job?
High school math teacher.
6. Ok, a question for the ladies, boxers or briefs?
Neither, CAVEMAN.
7. Who in the area do you believe will be the going to the Big Shows?
T-Wood Woodley will continue to climb. I also think Sal Woods from our gym will make it.
8. What’s your favorite Martial Arts Movie?
Ong Bak. Tony Ja is amazing.
9. Favorite MMA fighter?
B. J. Penn.
10. If you could train at any camp for a month, where would it be?
We already do that. We have sent several of our guys to train at Greg Jackson’s place.
