Father and son, Fred and Rico Engberg, were awarded the Ground & Pound show, humanitarian of the year, which was sponsored by sportfightingnews.com, on February 6th, 2010.  The two started the organization in the summer of 2009. Since its creation, F.A.C.T. Fighters Against Child Trauma has expanded as far as Oregon to the west, and Indiana to the east, and is growing rapidly opening new chapters nation wide.

The organization was created to help and protect traumatized children throughout the United States. The organization is comprised of fighters from all aspects of combative sports. These fighters volunteer their time in an effort to combat child abuse and help children get through traumatic  situations.

Chapters of F.A.C.T. have already helped dozens of children by donating presents to underprivileged kids, attending court cases, and attending awareness programs.
